Online Product Manager
We have achieved outstanding results to date and we want to continue our success and the Online Product Manager role is vital to the growth of the company. We need a high achiever who has the experience and the capabilities to take on this challenge and achieve our targets and expand our horizons.

Reporting to the CEO, the Online Product Manager will play a highly visible role implementing strategic initiatives for the company. You will work closely with the senior management team in defining and realising these initiatives. The Product Management team will report to you and you will direct their day-to-day activities.

You should bring substantial Product Management, Project Strategy and Marketing experience and skills to the team. You will have responsibility for the Product Management of the full suite of the company’s travel related websites. The role is target focused on traffic, conversion, retention\repeat visits and revenue generating initiatives. You will have to demonstrate a strong ability to lead and to foster cooperation and interaction over cross functional teams.

he role will lead initiatives to expand the company brands and be responsible for managing and overseeing new product introductions.
• Provide strategic direction to the company’s complete portfolio of travel related websites.

• Implement strategies for delivering new functionality to the websites, and be responsible for business analysis, business requirements and working with IT on the technical requirements, as well as delivering the product plan across the websites and web products of the company. Communicate project details across multiple departments.

• Drive tactical plans and lead teams to deliver against roadmap objectives, including concept, specification, design, development, testing launch and maintenance phases. Make appropriate tradeoffs between functionality and resources and/or timeframes.

• Work with Commercial department to develop comprehensive product marketing roadmaps. Develop and own the roadmap by interpreting what customers want and the market opportunity into compelling features and consumer experiences.

• Develop new platforms for booking budget accommodation in order to both access new distribution and adapt our websites to new and emerging platforms including (but not limited to) mobile phones. In addition, develop applications for iPhone and Android mobile phones and develop and extend those applications as traffic builds.

• Work with various departments to develop and implement a business strategy for the websites to support the needs of customers and end users.

• Understand the competitive landscape to ensure that the websites maintain a competitive parity both in terms of look and feel and functionality.

• Be analytically strong in determining marketing strategies and opportunities and work with the relevant teams to implement these strategies. Implement tracking technologies to optimise user navigation and maximise revenue generated from visitor traffic.

• Develop strategies focusing on revenue generating and enhancing opportunities i.e. customer lifetime value etc.

• Continually monitor online travel and social media trends, identify opportunities and risks and develop plans to drive business to meet objectives. Capitalise on evolving web 2.0 technology in order to maximise user experience and encourage new and repeat traffic, including development of social network applications.

• Help foster internal passion and excitement for brand belief and direction.

• You will be responsible for Team management. Which will entail leading the team to achieve the business objectives. Coaching for improvement in all team members and ensuring that all team members have a development plan that is managed.

• Report weekly and quarterly on product development progressto CEO team.

Skills and experience

The role requires someone who is proactive, commercial, analytical and focused on achieving results. they will have lead and managed cross functional teams and have the experience to know how to manage various situations in order to achieve the right result.

We are an online company and therefore experience within the online sector is essential what would be very beneficial is experience within the online travel sector as understanding the dynamic that is the online traveller and what direction we can push towards into the future is key to this role.
