We are currently looking for experienced software developer’s to join our expanding development team.
The ideal person will have at least two year’s experience working with financial reporting and developing web-based applications using PHP/MySQL. You should also be extremely proficient in some of the basic but key areas of web development such as creating page layouts using hand-coded HTML and CSS. Our core development is in PHP but ideally your skills should also extend to having other strong programming capability, ideally in C++ and/or Java coupled with substantial appreciation for OOAD.
You should feel comfortable getting to grips with large systems quickly and have strong analytical skills. The role will involve developing financial reports and extracting financial data from a large database.
You should also be capable of taking responsibility and ownership of tasks and developing sites/components to tight deadlines and to high quality.
Knowledge and experience of component based architecture, design patterns, UML, source code management, nightly builds, unit, load and performance testing, would be an advantage.
You will ideally also have experience working and developing on Linux/UNIX environments.
You should be a very energetic, team player, that knows how to produce very good documentation and appreciates its value but most importantly of all, you should love to code.
